Using the Double Half Hitch to Mount Cords

You will need to know how to make a double half hitch in order to follow the instructions below. Mounting cords with a double half hitch may seem difficult to learn at first, but with practice it will become easier. And there are many variations on this technique of mounting cords which will enable you to create interesting effects. At some future time I plan to show you some of these variations.


Place the center of your cord behind the dowel or holding cord.
Using the dowel as your knot bearer, make a double half hitch.

Make a double half hitch onto your knot bearer using the other half of the cord.
